Not a fan of the U.S	Perhaps they didn't have the $3 Million spare which it cost to break James Blunt over in the States??? They'll be begging Cowell next, for an appearance on American Idol (worked extremely well for Daniel Powter).
Mart	Also, a lot of very inexpierenced performers are being thrust into arenas that are a bit bigger than an empty stage in front of a camera. Billy Idol was a very hardened tourer prior to going to the states.
JK2006	As Robbie found - and Damon before him - breaking America requires hard work (Billy Idol was a great example of someone who did that). In this era of instant reality TV stardom, are we breeding a race of stars who expect instant fame and simply cannot cope with hard work? I fear so - and the resultant boredom tends to lead to recreational drug use. Followed by rehab. It's all so obvious.
