DJKZ JK pop over to the ROTD messageboard and let them know how Youtube has increased your sales. There is a thread on there about internet PR and marketing and its role in breaking music. Apparently Youtube/Myspace don't increase sales so if you can put them right that will be a great contribution.

Also with the unlikely prospect of JK getting major media interest (positive ones), you are almost entirely net based. Do you think it is possible to build a career on this model with of course the occaisional live gigs/parties.
JK2006 It's available on iTunes already Mart (check the direct link on our MUSIC page) and is selling briskly!
Mart I think when "He Stood In the Bath" hits I-Tunes the downloads will be very positive.

The amount of interest emerging from that period of English recording is increasing.
How strange Joe Meek would have found it to find a tune about him to be available as a digital download.

How about a limited vinyl edition pressed up to look like a vintage release?

Very fitting methinks.
JK2006 SALES

Yes there is a regular sale of several dozen BOX SETS a month through Amazon, this site mailouts and specialist shops.

EARTH TO KING is only just released but is doing quite well both on physicals and with downloads of specific tracks.

iTunes are positive about it and our aggregator is putting it many other download sites due to demand.

So yes, I think the presence of videos has indeed helped sales.
emmapeelfanclub I first came here after typing in "Joe Meek" in YouTube and enjoying JKs "He Stood In The Bath And He Stomped On The Floor". This got me watching several of JKs enjoyable blog vids. It stirred up many memories of growing up and JKs music and recordings were a major part of that.

So, maybe YouTube is helping gain some sales after all, since JKs videos I would guess send those who are interested to check out this very site.
