Why did the deal happen so quick now? Did Gildersleeve act with or against Nicoli?

I don't think that there will be a bidding war now, but sooner or later EMI and WMG will (or what will be left of these former great companies) will be merged.

JK2006 I first became aware of Guy Hands when my brother Andy persuaded him to back TotalRock - guy is a heavy metal fan.

He's good at turning around failing companies.

Mind you, I still feel the big money in music will be made by an intelligent START UP.

Building a structure from the ground up is far wiser than adapting a castle into a bungalow.

Still, that back catalogue will always be valuable.
