And you'll notice Mart we picked Asha long before it was a hit, then picked and pushed the Norman/Fat Boy mix (which became the hit) long before it happened.
That's the reason for the Tipsheet ROW DB!

I love "Brimful of Asha", it was by Cornershop.
There you go, this is what this site about, 3 chords and a cracking hit, no musical snobbery.
( and no click here to enter or,downloading 10%/ 57 % etc).
I see my computer screen as a newspaper that does not have adverts falling all over the floor and get`s to the point.
The worst case scenario for any site of this kind, is every post , message, story comes with an advert.
That said, the championed ideas should deservedly get plugged.

Just to explain the Tipsheet ROW Database...
This was on the old site and holds all the Records of the Week from the Tipsheet from when we started (1993?) to the end of the decade.
So we've retained it because sometimes someone wonders who that wonderful song Brimful Of Asha (or whatever) was by... and when it was out.

A very accessible and easy to read site. Everything is a click away thanks to the colourful menu on the left. Bright bold basic fonts and no fancy fonts one has to squint at or highlight with the mouse to decipher and no eye-watering colour schemes that make some sites torture to read.
The lack of flash gimmicks and advertising ensures it loads up in the browser quickly and neatly. The amount of times I've jumped out my skin clicking onto a site to be greeted by music is numerous and again that's thankfully absent here.
I'm more than happy with the way it currently is. Basic, accessible, direct, thought provoking and informative. Who could ask for anything more?

It works as it is.
The main point for websites is the content.
I don't come here to be entertained by the design I come here to read.
The only time most people are aware of design is when it gets in the way.
The only thing I'd change is drop the Tipsheet ROW DB (Same as Mart - I don't get it) and the New Messageboards link is just a repeat of the two above options and could go.
Deep Throat and gossip could be combined. Personal could be combined with Biography and possibly Legal too.
The options seem to be covering the same ground and could be second level pages. Not everything has to be on show all the time as it is now.
Other than that the main thing is "Content is King" (Sorry for the pun)
