Mart We are just sorting out tickets to get to Spain , and the online form says "tick here if you will be carrying a musical instrument".

Quite a few of us got together and made a fuss about this as we didn`t like instruments in the hold.

Some musicians actually took offence and boasted that they had stronger flight cases and were not worried.

I have seen no announcement of this decision anywhere until this booking form.
My mate flew over for some New York dates at Christmas and took a cheap guitar for fear of breakage.
I am glad I can officially take my best ones with me as hand luggage again without a panic.

I don`t mind hiring amplification after a flight, but I`m sure like most, I do like to have my own instruments.
