Panic over; YouTune have said that the copyright claim is not a strike - BMG’ll just take any ad revenue, in the unlikely event my video becomes a hit.

Interesting; my Day80 video diary which features my version of Dylan's Just Like A Woman has been Copyright Claimed by his publisher (quite right too); still my Babies On Razor Blades version of The Times They Are A'Changing still HASN'T been spotted.

Strangely by coincidence, I've just discovered to my amusement what you have been describing in this video about bots which automatically detect if a YouTube video is a portrayal of a composition which has copyright protection.
Just for a bit of fun, I uploaded a video of me playing (not singing) "I Don't Like Mondays" on the piano onto YouTube. In spite of the fact it's only had 10 views, it has been served with a copyright notice covering all territories - well thanks Bob! I can only assume that either my rendition was so close to Johnnie Fingers' original that it got picked up by a bot, or that somebody has dobbed me in!!
For my next project I plan to play Benny and Bjorn's world famous composition entitled "Money, Money, Money" - but shss, whatever you do, don't tell the publisher...
