Topic History of: Considering the opera singer was the only finalist with any talent at all... Max. showing the last 5 posts - (Last post first)

I realised a long time ago that Simon Cowell knows very little about singing. He only knows how to make money. How he gets away with it I will never know. I only watched 2 of the shows and thought they were awful. How does he always get prime time tv. The majority of the public do not want these rubbish shows and to use the word 'talent' is an insult to all the talented individuals that are working hard trying to make a living and get the recognition that they really deserve... Rant over now. |

Yes, Potts was the only one with any talent, but I hardly think he'll become a household name.
On one show, Simon Cowell described the youngest girl as pitch perfect. If that was pitch perfect I'll represent UK in next year's Eurovision! |

Have to admit I've avoided that show completely.
I'm still recovering from Libera being beaten by some guy dressed as a spring, on the BBC's When Will I Be Famous (which a multi million selling choir shouldn't have been on anyway, but we'll ignore that bit). |

It was appropriate Paul Potts won.
Those two children were just awful - way out of tune.
I agree. But the stars were Simon, Piers and Amada. Piers and Simon were "known quantities", but I'm actually surprised how well Amanda came across.
What I saw of it, (about half in total), I thouroghly enjoyed the show. I think I'd have preferred it if it had one once or twice a week over a couple of months though. |
