Just to answer your last question there mrnscinse, I personally believe will be problematic and gimmicky for a while, but certainly not obsolete.
I think it will become a desire item again.

I met a number of labels that visited Midem for the first time this year, and they were gushing about the opportunities. I was gobsmacked. This is an industry that has been seeing double-digit revenue losses for the past five years at least.
But I realised these were labels that were happy to get an extra territory or licensed into a few compilations whereas once doing the business meant getting a whole continent or physically selling stock to a major distributor in Germany. Or placing the song with a million-selling artist.
Our expectations have changed. And with the constant threats on both mechanical and performance rights, I'm not too sure this is going anywhere uphill soon for most of us.
Apart from that, just remember the basics of generating money in the music business: get people to Listen-Like-Buy in that order.

That's great news. I would say as long as you have a plan implemented and people to help enforce than plan as an indie...that this is our revolution! We have direct access to get instant feedback from the people who matter the most (the consumer)and unload our products directly to them, with way less red-tape than ever before.
Youtube is a huge outlet. CNN takes somethin off of Youtube just about every morning. That's a powerful tool right there!
The only thing that you listed below that I'm not absolutely sure about is the Vinyl part.
I know Majors are cutting back on Vinyl due to the Serrato (not sure of the spelling) system that many DJ's have access too. I'm not sure how the Dj's overseas are taking to this, but I have seen hundreds of Dj's in the states with there laptops and directly download there music straight from the computer and pump it right in the club or the radio station from there laptops.
With all this being said, do you all think that Vinyl will soon be obsolete within this decade?
