DJones There can be no ultimate chart or POP-I.

There is no longer one (mainstream) market. There are lots of different sub-markets which all need extra charts or POP-Is.

The fragmentation of the market is one of the reasons why charts are no longer so important as a guide for the media or shops.

This process started in the 80s. If I remember it correctly, the high street record shops didn
dixie No, what you need is a chart based on real sales, not "without downloads when there isn't a physical bollocks".

Tell the public "these were the 40 best selling songs last week"!! Simple.
