NCS Payola, Egton House, whom (you don’t have to name real names) pray tell?

Interesting documentary, even if most of it has already being shown on the bbc 4 series "Top of the Pops - the storey of....". It features Pete Murray at 96 years old, still with us, almost forgotten, and looking quite frail, but nice to see him again. The only new thing that I learned from it was that Steely Span recorded the wombles backing track for them, and thus had to perform on the show in the womble costumes.

Pete Murray had a show on Boom Radio last Christmas and i believe another has been recorded for this year
He's 97 now
Rick It's the payola allegations that most merit a doc. I doubt there was anything that dramatic historically but it used to be a 'normal' aspect of life at Egton House and elsewhere.
NCS Thanks robbiex for posting the the link.

Some interesting insights. The commentator was terrible though.
dav Mike Batt (creator and musician of The Wombles) is still making music today and being quite entrepreneurial.
