JK2006 Yes I know - we should have tried for the Christmas No1. But the regular Sausage Roll success shows the music industry is not about music these days. Started by Sir Bob, it’s a charity industry like those ghastly Relief days. And like Duran Duran, it’s not about song but about videos. Specialisation is an easier way to get chart positions so these days the chart means nothing. With much streaming FREE or low cost, it reflects curiosity not popularity. Top executives retain their jobs by getting impressive streaming figures; owners fail to spot the diminishing profits.
