Kev You misread and/or misinterpreted what I said.

I said a complete "chart" flop, after all #34 isn't a great chart position, but I also said that there was no promotion and that the record company were happy with the results, therefore they achieved what they set out to do. I am aware of the re-issue.

I agree, all has gone very, very well indeed. I have complete respect and admiration for the team.
real mark up her first single was a soft limited release and was not a complete flop! There was only 3,000 odd copies pressed and for Like A Star to chart at #34 with no promo or press made it a real word of mouth hit. As far as I know the track will be re-issued in the fall with bells and whistles..expect it to chart much higher when it comes out the second time...
everything the label and management has done so far has been spot on imho.
Kev I hear she's broken some record like "Fastest Selling Solo Female" or something like that (don't quote me on it). She's doing very well in the US too.

Her first single was a complete chart flop but then they spent nothing on promotion.. and they were happy with the result. Interesting strategy by her record company, I think they were ensuring she'd be seen as a legitimate long term artist and not a well marketed flash in the pan.

Hats off to Bob.
JK2006 The single would be dropping if it wasn't a real hit.
real mark up Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae has now spent 5 weeks in the top 5 and is the long serving record in the top 10...
Meanwhile on the eve of her debut UK headlining tour the album is spending its 4th week in the UK albums chart top 3...
I think this is a real hit and a long successful career on both sides of the atlantic await this gorgeous talented lady.
