Michael	Reggae, and in particular roots reggae is still massively popular across Africa. Tiken Jah Fakoly is currently criss-crossing Europe (new dates are still being added to the current one to keep up with demand). www.tikenjah.net/accueil.php or check MySpace Alpha Blondy is one of the pioneers. www.myspace.com/alphablondy What's interesting is the degree to which these artists walk the talk. Ivory Coast has been in civil war for years. Both of them get up and say what they think is right, at the risk of being shot. Fakoly is currently exiled in Mali. Other artists include Fadal Dey and Serge Kassy.

JK2006	The music is lovely and his voice is sweet - start here and then try this - great vocal and how about this for a great interpretation? What a savage indictment of our media that this guy wasn't brought to our attention earlier!
