Aah, the Lilac Time, "The Girl Who Waves At Trains" was a wonderful track.
I first heard that on Simon Bates' show on Radio One but he didn't say who it was, so I phoned the station and got them to check his playlist so they could tell me. Then I had to convince my local record shop to order it for me.
I still have it on vinyl. A treasured posession. |

That's a very surreal sentence! "I was Shag" is not a term you hear every day:-)

Gary;
The Lilac Time("You`ve Got To Love" is brill) were and I believe, are, again, Steven Duffys band, hits before that as Tin Tin , Steven Tin Tin Duffy("Kiss Me",was my fave) and latterly working with R.Williams I think, but thats pushing my recent memory a bit.
I could google it, but I don`t like to cheat!
Jk`s 2nd best ever song(in my opinion) has not been a hit yet, check out "Caravaggio" from the new one. |

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your comment although I think it's quite a good rhyme:-)!
Have been looking at some of your videos.
I knew you were behind many hits under loads of different names but had no idea you were behind the "Piglets" & "hedgehogs annonymous" GREAT songs!!!
BUT I have been searching desperately to find my favourite which I know you WERE behind!!
Was or IS there ever a video of Loop di Love by Shag?
I LOVED that song!!!
All the very best
