Well i think that says it all really for the music industry. You only had to see everyone go mad for it at Carnival and a 5 year old knew it would be a hit. Funny with all the novelty songs and catchy pop ditty info that is coming my way. Someone up there is trying to send me a message methinks.
With the state of the world as it is i think the last thing we need are over serious musicians.
And just for you all a little Bible quote for all my religious and non-religious friends.
The Son of Man came eating and drinking and yet you called him a drunkard and a glutton.
The Great Lord had humor and enjoyed his life while he was on earth. Told simple stories and changed the world.
I think artists should take note of that, when tempted to be 'artistic'. Yes I include myself in that.
Now let me go and find a simple tune.
Oh for all of you dance boys I will post the link for
DJ DeeKline I don't smoke. A novelty Garage tune that all the serious DJs hated but the kids loved. Even I loved it but then I was used to the Postman Pat tune having had 2 littluns at the time.
I actually first heard of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by text.
Someone sent me one of those early texts with a dog drawn out of number "1"s and a message asking the question, to which I didnt reply and the answer was of course the inevitable three woofs or so.
Clever marketing actually, did someone actually start that as a "chain text" does anyone know?

Tell me more, I don't have Sky, how does the Jukebox work?

If you knew how long I had to work to find anyone who thought Dogs was a hit except me and my then 6 year old nephew William (now 16 and asking for career advice - he thinks he wants to be a journalist!).
Finally after EIGHT dinners and much ear bashing my friend Steve Greenberg saw the light and covered it with the Baha Men.

Have to admit that 'Who Let The Dogs Out?' is near the top of my list of most annoying records of all time.
