Sadly a (nearly) 80 year old music man - no space left in the old brain so cell clearance required. But Google is my friend and I see yes, Bowie did indeed write All The Young Dudes.

Yuck on both song and video. It's a low point for Pet Shops Boys for me. I do still have a huge admiration for PSB.
I never liked All The Young Dudes as a song, but it did save Mott The Hopple.
Over the years, I have met numerous rock fans and record dealers with brief stints in the music industry who have never said a nice thing about Ian Hunter. It seems to be the norm for dealers; if you didn't make it into music then open up a record store.
Mott The Hopple did have some decent albums like Mad Shadows and Wildlife. I think their only problem was they were not radio-friendly enough and being British, they were very AOR and drive rock which the Americans and Canadians love.
Rock n Roll Queen sounds like a later period of Guess Who and if you want to go deeper then Petra.
Credit to Hunter he is 85 and still rocking.

A music man needs to ask that question!
