I have read there is between 33 and 100 record vinyl plants globally.
It does make you wonder if Deepgrooves is one of many dodgy record plants.
My friend in Long Island spent a fortune on Beatles and John Lennon vinyl. When he opened it the records have scratches and dings which causes Rubber Soul to skip in a few places and Mind Games has background noise where the scratches are.
Interesting, I did buy Sawyer Brown -Desperado Troubadours on CD in HMV for £15. HMV had the vinyl for £25 which is probably one of the cheapest vinyl albums I have seen brand new in retailers.
Another one I was shocked by was Be Right Here by Blackberry Smoke. It's £9 on CD and it's £28 on vinyl.
I can't justify spending the extra tenner or so on something that would probably sound the same on CD, most new albums are recorded and mixed digitally on Protools not on consoles.
