Really? Not even EBtG "Missing" or Massive Attacks "Unfinished Sympathy"?

well. Im "saddened" as they say in the army...
Kev Mary J Blige doing U2 must have seemed like a good idea at the time until she decided to do the Mariah Carey oversinging thing. The version I keep hearing is her with U2 which I just don't get. U2 already did a blinding version of this song, why do one that's not as good? The song has a great melody, why don't they sing it?! They've "sung out" all of the good hooks IMO. They've taken away all the emotion.

In the original the line "You ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl" has a lovely change in it, reminds me of Neil Diamond for some reason. Bono sings it with such feeling it really makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.. but it's lost in this version.
JK2006 Absolutely loved The Kooks who opened with Naive; the singer has a really original squeaky voice and loads of charisma. Which label has them?

George Michael always looked like a queen, didn't he, even when Wham were pretending to be hetero.
Well, it seems I'm in a bit of a minority with The Streets new single but 8 isn't too bad and I still think it's fab.
Embrace are fine but not the future of music.
LL + J-Lo didn't do much for me.
I managed to control myself.
I seem to remember Nerina Pallot from the PWC (pre wrongful convictions) days of the Tip Sheet years ago... she's rather good, isn't she, and I think this new single could be a hit.

Andy Abraham did Hang Up very well indeed. Who cares how he got discovered? Good voice; nice attitude; I've known many huge stars with neither.
No reservations whatsoever. Good for you Andy.
Gnarls at One as we all knew it would be.
It doesn't take a genius to see the signs.
Another good Pops in a very healthy music scene.
