Thanks Cat. This is why I ask for feedback; not to be praised but to get views from a different perspective. I also thought that I needed to remix the voices and I have now done that. Also boosted the violin part slightly. I had some good comments from a Jazz community, so like you said, people who dig it will.
I didn't expect it to be very popular on this board, because the track is of quite a selective genre.
I've now uploaded the remixed file to Myspace.

Trad/Free Jazz is one of those genres people either dig or they don't. Not an easy one to master. I actually love Trad Jazz and there's not enough of it breaking through but .. that's showbiz. Not sure you'll find very many Trad fans on this board. My only criticism is that the voices are a bit low to be understood - a bit mumbly in the background. Maybe you could mix those higher. Other than that, it's loose and kinda foot tapping. I must mention the violin which not many Trad tracks feature, balanced out by the brass and in fairly decent stereo.
Those who dig it will. Those who don't won't.
4 out of 5 because the talky bits do need upping!

I'd welcome feedback from anyone who feels inclined. Thanks.
