Big End
Ah, I see Anthony. It is something I shall have to get onto!

Agreed. It's a very bad thing to finish a sentence with. Not something I could ever be accused of!

er, look at the continuing contributions on the way forward in music "Terrified in Malden". And how many acts in the past were "worth paying attention to", next to amount of dross who could not play/sing? Come on, nothing's changed in that respect.
Anyway, I'm always suspicious of people who end a sentence with a preposition. It is exceedingly bad English.

Recently I've been working with musicians from East and Central Europe.
The difference in attitude compared to the Brits is incredible.
These guys actually want to put in the effort.
I feel we, the British, are simply too prosperous to create a thriving interesting music scene. It's too much karaoke and no real passion.
Terrified In Malden
These days there are very few places to go to talk about great sounds - the fan sites are just gooey and always have been - but there were three places to visit.
Best was The Velvet Rope - international and frequently intelligent.
Now it's just bitter and with very little actual music talk.
Next best was The Tip Sheet but I've noticed that, just as the Your Views board is increasingly funny, useful, witty and intelligent, a great read, the Tip Sheet board has less and less music talk and very few tips worth paying attention to.
The Record of the Day was always lower grade, often illiterate and usually out of work middle or bottom grade people. It is now quite dreadful and most depressing.
What's happened to brains, ears, love of music and clever executive observations?
