Big End and you're right GG...there is so much ripping off going on it makes me feel sick. If only people would play it straight, they would make better music and more money in the long run for everyone involved.
GG (producer) No, I wasn't talking about that book, I did say in general. It just got me going on a rant of the things I see out there, that do exist.
In The Know I'd have slightly more faith if they could actually spell Management !

DJKZ GG what on earth are you talking about ?

Are you saying anyone who charges 7 quid for a book is ripping off artists ?

How about recording studios, producers, remixers who charge a fee and in the case of producers points as well. I think you are wrong with this outfit.

They are only selling a DVD with advice. How is that exploitation ? Did you ever buy an instructional book ?

This is hardly a pay for play or pay for representation scam and in fact this sort of knee jerk reaction is totally wrong.
GG (producer) In General......As long as there is a music industy this kind of thing will happen to varying degrees. This also happens in the modeling world. I've seen a lot of production-mill scam artists out there. Its the only way they can make a living. My take in general and advice to kids is that if a legitimate industry person believes you can be a star, then you should not have to pay that person a dime, and he/she will make sure you are impartially represented where fiduciary matters are concerned.

People who prey upon kids hopes and dreams, where most of the kids don't have the talent to begin with, are the worst kind of scumbags.
