Theres a whole track on our current album done via message boards, the final mix done by a third message board.
It`s funny really, only three years ago, I asked if I go ISDN a mix to a different studio, and was laughed at!
That said, you can`t beat the gold master of recordings, you get used to MP3`S, and then hear the master and gow ....wow!
I do love the way that collaborations can be done without the dreaded M6 on a Friday though!

I suspect that the Iron & Wine cover has alerted a lot of people to the talent of Gibbard. Though if you're going to plug the Postal service as a Gibbard only act, you're maybe doing a bit of a dis-service to his partner in crime...Jimmy Tamborello from Dntel.
Do you know how they got the name the postal service? nice little story, both memebers live miles apart so the session tapes/files were sent back and forth for each person to do their thing

Anyone else into The Postal Service?
They are the side project of Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Tamberello from Dntel.
They released an excellent album called Give Up in 2004. I really am at a loss to why they arn't huge over here?
I was reminded of them thanks to a TV advert for ASK using a cover version of their track Such Great Heights on the soundtrack.
