Big End
what a crackin' line up for a great night out of music. All these acts at various stages of development. Not for the first time on this board do we see an exceedingly healthy and lively music scene at the grass roots. They're touring, recording, writing and working hard to raise the profile.
In fact, I'll go further in that I think it has been a long time since we've seen music in such a healthy condition.

I think TIPSHEETERS will like this line up Come on lets hear people's thoughts !
BENEVA headline a night of the next big things at THE FLY
BENEVA
The first UK appearance of this much loved acoustic band for over a year. Fronted by Malc Evans and Nathan Bennett "Beneva" burst onto the UK scene when they were resident at Highbury Garage in 2004 - 2005 fronting the monthly acoustic club. Signed to Cat Flap Records in America and distributed by Organic ( Universal ) in the UK their debut album won many admirers on both sides of the Atlantic. Major gigs at the London Forum and at festivals including Greenbelt have also seen them play from large stages to small venues accross the UK including their own residency at DITCH THE TV in Coventry. After a year's sabbatical they return to headline THE FLY promising new songs and old favourites. Let the fairy dust settle on their supports and enjoy this amazing night of music.
Hailing from Nottingham the band make their London debut at The Fly - beautiful indie with ever changing soundscapes - superb band who are hotly tipped.......
"The confidence oozing out of Pylon-less-wires tonight is palpable and their set shows a kind of controlled savagery and assuredness you'd expect from a band playing in their own backyard. Not to do them a disservice- this isn't just a case of -'local lads done good' they have the power and intricacy in weirdly equal measure, the tunes to pull it off and a healthy dose of showmanship to boot" THE FLY MAGAZINE March 2008
Dartford's finest indie band debut at THE FLY as part of their onslaught on London's clubland. Huge indie anthems with tunes to die for ! Jump around and sing along and remember why you are alive. Brand new indie which is already getting the London promoters very excited.
Are MY ELEMEMT The best band to ever come out of Eastbourne ? you make up your mind. Dont miss this special showcase - Intoxicating pop indie from a band with exquisite harmonies and piano led pop sensibilities as shown by demo " Reach Out ". Just signed to 19 Management under the watchful eye of Mark Fuller My Element impress with a nod towards Air Traffic and Coldplay but with their own distinctive style and new recordings in the pipeline. Stunning.
Jess writes and sings with great style and panache. Steve Lamacq is already a fan and playing her and she is being chased by a clutch of major labels so expect a full venue of A&R people muttering things into Blackberries. Kate Nash was discovered at THE FLY - could Jess be next ? We think so Get to the venue early - you wont regret it. Jess oozes charm and talent. One of the most talked about artists by those in the know. So now you know !
