We don't disagree Mike but I say it would have been different if there had been a real hit by a great performer in there.
And however it happened. the best performer won (as last year).

Combine a real hit with a great performer and you get a win - like we did with Katrina.
I thought Andy was great. Had he sung What's A Girl To Do? he would have beaten Dima.
Guess who gave Russia 12 ?
Israel Armenia Lithuania Belarus Latvia Estonia and Ukraine . 7 countries full or Russians surprisingly.
He only came 3rd in his semi final when not all the ex soviets could vote and influence the final score !
Top 3 there was
1. Greece 156
2. Armenia 139
3. Russia 135
There is proof that it's the ex USSR countries who decided this result

You always know best JK. But the voting will prove nobody gave Russia 12 apart from the countries who do so every year, same for Greece in 3rd and Armenia in 4th.
Every single country, all 43, gave their 12 to the one I predicted and that has nothing to do with quality of song but for the country. There is no way, no matter what song or artist they enter that a country such as UK, Netherlands or Belgium could get a 12 from anybody and that is a massive handicap

Crap song but since he should have won 2 years ago and is potentially a huge global star (possibly the first to emerge through Eurovision since Abba) - I'm delighted.
JK can pick them. Enough of this "it's all political" Terry.
It's a star - preferably doing a hit - that counts.
There was no hit in this year's show but it was a tremendous Eurovision.
