Not in the know By chance, does anyone know what the next Coldplay single will be ?
Michael Sure, everybody knows Kraftwerk. But my point was that "Autobahn" was actually the defining album. From that moment on, things changed in the music biz. I actually prefer their later stuff, as it happens.

K Actually I think you'll find Kraftwerk or more widely known that you realise. Most dance/electronic producers list them as an influance.

This is OK and as you say, obvious to do. Sadly I don't think he actually used Kraftwerk in it at all, not from the amount I heard anyway. Sounds like it was replayed on a synth to me, shame.
Michael Although Coldplay are not my favourite band (like Simple Minds with a smaller palette), I think this is quite cool. For people as ignorant as me, "Talk" is a version of Kraftwerk's "Computer Love". So inevitably, someone did a remix and patched together a vid for YT.

And for an informative giggle, try this period report of Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" (probably one of the most influential albums of all time, not that many people know it). It's not the same version I have on vinyl, mind.
