JK : FIGHTSTAR ( Charlie Busted's real band ) Headline the GREENBELT FESTIVAL on MONDAY NIGHT at Cheltenham Racecourse - 20,000 expected.
FIGHTSTAR are really brilliant - nice guys with awesome songs. Love their videos as well.

I'm not against McFly; in fact I thought they filled their niche pretty well; this was just a comment on the frequently sad aspect of a certain type of artiste trying to adapt when their talents were predominantly tied to youth.

I don't agree with JK on this one. I love Mcfly and find their music infinitely more enjoyable than a lot of the dreary music out there at the moment. I hasten to add I am not a teenager or a mother of a fan and i do not fancy any of the band members. I just love the music. I hope they can produce a few more albums before they fizzle out.
BTW the last I heard of Busted was that the keyboard player wrote the tune to Space Pirates, a tune which is often stuck in my head.

I think maybe there day has been and gone, they do one sound very good but i don't beleave that it's what the kid's are wanting now,
maybe a few years off, they will come back with something fresh and not re-hashing what they have done in the past and i think what they did in the past i.e song writing wise was better.
What they look like i don't think is the problem, young girls will like them as well as there mothers,P

I think it`s a difficult time for them to be fair.
They are not a teen band anymore, but not old enough to be Take That, but the money of course still needs to be ticked over, as do as many boxes as possible.
A difficult milestone in a career that I think has been handled pretty correctly in this climate.
I don`t think the band will ever quit, but I think they may "rest" after the current exposures and then come back and blow everyone away.
There is a heckuva lot of natural talent in that band.
Any musician who have attempted to play "Don`t Stop me Know", will know how hard it is to get a band to gel on that tune, let alone scale the heights of the vocals.
