andrew Being young can be a bad thing sometimes. a lot of tipsters remember buying records and seeing groups which I was not born when all this happened. I'm also annoyed that people still remember JK being on tele, which I would love to have seen.
andrew I'd discovered Ramones on Tv. I think it was a Beatclub Performance or something. I thought was cool seeing a new punk band. I only knew sex pistols and Buzzcocks.

I discovered velvet Underground when my dad had it on tape and he never stopped playing it.

I'm 19; my dad had a wide variety of taste in music.

I was never allowed to go the Lps or Hi-FI. it was frustration. I was very curious about it; a big black box with speakers dials and display box and strange sounds came on. I'd never knew it was Hi-Fi. I always thought it was something sci-fi movie. I was about 2 at the time.

I still remember seeing my ever CD in my house. it was the Kinks greatest hits. I'd never seen a cd before so it was something new and differnt. I asked my dad to put on again and again.

We have got a lot of 60's compilations and several Beatles. For my 9-10 birthday I was given a walkman and 2 tapes - Jan and dean and The troggs which are now long gone but I've now got them on CD.

And I've always been a fan of acoustic; mainly that my dad used to play on a lot which we still have; it is a Gemini Fender 2.
DJones I wish I was as young as you andrew, to discover all the great music once again.

I still remember the first time I heard the Velvet Underground, the Ramones - long long ago.
andrew What's odd about my posts? I don't see many with your name on.

I've helped several people with song questions - how to discover early music etc.

I did a post of Clifford T Ward - it had many tipsters replying back to it; I think it is one of longest topics on this board.

And I'm sure I'm one of the youngest tipsters as well.
Kev I caught someone trying to get into my house via the letterbox the other day. That's what I call an odd post.
