DJones You are (more or less) right about unions. But this is not a "normal" union. The idea is more along the lines of collective organisations a la ASCAP etc.
JK2006 There have been frequent calls for Unions - and this latest Featured Artistes Coalition simply won't work.

Unions never do but especially not in a creative world.

Because they have no influence on - or desire to be involved in - the creative process. They are all about money, rights and so on.

Yes, it's important that we all exist. But often that happens through doing things that make no superficial sense.

Unions would never have allowed Vile Pervert: The Musical.

Publishing unions, writer unions, performer unions, acting unions, director unions - what? Doing it for free? No way.

So I filled all those roles myself. And put it online for free.

Nearly 26,000 full length views/downloads so far.

Spreading the word and promoting the music.

Result.
