starstorm Got to be Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida'. For the first time in years I found myself actively scanning the airwaves to hear a certain song, and actually going into a record shop for the album. Just like old times...
JK2006 I sent the list to Michael Grade and his heads of department; I think this lineup would get terrific ratings on a Saturday night and would do so much for the music industry before Christmas, as it always did in past years, but there is no fathoming the mind of Britannia High Tee Vee.
Mike Willis I would probably go for either Duffy, Nickelback or Kings of Leon. Quite like Katy Perry's song as well.

Why the bloody hell is this not screened on ITV? It drew huge ratings and provided entertainment and improved sales in music.

Can I ask what the reason is JK? ITV have hardly come up with an alternative have they?
itsmyparty I honestly didn't realise Rockstar had sold so well. A case of the tortoise beating the hare.

On Dizzee, thought it was a cracking little song for a filler between albums (as a side note why don't more artists do this?), and sold particularly well for a July hit when sales traditionally plummet.
Dominic Dee Not overly impressed with the list.

I'd say Good Morning by Sparks was a better record of the year, even though it wasn't a hit.
I'm sure I could think of more once I get my brain engaged.
