JK2006 but the basics were accurate.
We knew who was talking to whom in each organisation.
We knew the contrasting offers and the sticking points.
We knew the conflicting aspects of both Edgar and Eric (and Alain and Roger).
That's called "keeping in the flow", something all observers and commentators should be.
Scotty Furiously denied but clearly true and accurate in the light of this week's events.
JK2006 On Monday Music Week says all talk about EMI and Warners negotiations are "just noise".
That very same day Eric Nicoli offers BILLIONS to buy WB.
Edgar turns him down.
WB issues a statement confirming it.
So does EMI.
And Music Week knew fuck all about it.
No hint. No gossip. No rumours.
"Just noise".
Who on earth works on Music Week?
The mentally impaired?
They don't have a lot to do.
But they cannot do it.
Martin Talbot and Ajax Scott should be ashamed.
I expect next week's issue to be 20 pages of grovelling apologies.
"We're sorry to take your
