Interesting comment in the Guardian G2 today by Marcel Berlins about his wife's musical. It could apply to your excellent film.

Loads of new views/downloads over the past few days, seeming to come from individual tracks inspiring people to watch the entire movie and a lot around the UK, outside London.
Here's a suggestion of a taster...

Although I haven't seen Scott in ages I assume we are still friends. He contacted my Mum with a lovely supportive message when my life took an interesting turn 8 years ago.

Saying the unsay-able!
Love it.
You and Scott should get back together - I have one of his first solo albums you wrote the liner notes on.
Are you still friends?

Thank you PF and the answer to your question lies in your post - true art which genuinely tries to do something different offends the establishment and critics are part of that establishment. They and their editors simply do not dare to mention it. Whether they slag it off or praise it, they are frightened by the prospect of it. Tabloids would criticise them for speaking about it. Their bosses or owners would not back them and would probably fire them.
Being met by silence from the establishment is the loudest praise I could hope for and the greatest proof of success.
Saying the unsayable indeed.
And I have that brilliant secret weapon. It's called the Internet. Without it 30,000 people would not have watched it. Without it you would not have known about it. Without it the unsayable would not have been said.
By ignoring it, the enemies of truth are damaging themselves. Their silence is like a bullet in their foot.
