Hi;
I like the real life ethic of this band, they are almost like Squeeze playing ska.
I noted that on their website that they noted Haircut 100 as an influence, which I have to say I did not pick up on myself.
I liked the addition of the "OYS!", on the song "One More Drink" as I felt it summed up the UK drinking culture perfectly in a simple, almost unreal word, of which at some stage crept into the language as did "OK".
I have to say that I don`t agree with the Busted or McFly likeness, there is no over-production on these recordings, they sound very natural.
I like them.

Busted and Mcfly comparisons????
I really can't see how you could come to that decision, Just For Kicks are nothing like them at all, you clearly have no idea about music, and can't tell 1 genre from another. They are 5 young lads writing about real life, where as pretty much every busted and mcfly song, were written about girls and love. I agree with someones comment above, Just for kicks are a great act bringing something exciting to the industry. The only similarity i would say is that Just For Kicks are totally capable of reaching the same amount of success as both busted and mcfly, and i'm sure they'll have longevity.
