Ok I watched the show today and I've had that Lithuanian song stuck in my head ever since.

I downloaded the Octoshape player via the Junior Euro site today so that I could watch the show. Took a few seconds and I enjoyed the show. Plus the player gives me access to DWTV, a English language news channel from Germany, which I haven't been able to watch since my satellite motor died.
The Georgian song was so weird it had to win. Very clever idea. Also, loved the opening ceremony with he atmospheric dance routine and the parade of participants. |

Oh, and I believe the executive producer was former News at Ten editor, Munro Forbes, who moved to Cypriot TV a couple of years ago. I've met him on several occasions as he is a genuine Eurovision fan. I'm glad it seems he did a good job. |

Despite a lifelong love affair with Eurovision, I have never quite latched on to the junior version. In fact, I had completely forgotten it was on last night.
After your recommendation, Denise, I may catch up with it at some point and post my thoughts. |

All in support of UNICEF.
Hosted by Cyprus.
Beautiful opening ceremony. Awesome performances and great attitudes among the contestants. They all so obviously enjoyed it, and the range of talent was impressive.
My favourite song was the Russian entry, but Georgia were the eventual winners. Russia came 7th. The Eastern block dominated again, but well done to Malta for breaking the monopoly to finish 4th.
The entire production was a delight.
