Yes - agreed with Tour Manager - it's all about who you know unfortunately. Majority of touring acts tend to have supports on that are linked to the same label to generate more money in merchandise sales etc
Luckily alot of our supports to big acts have been by making friends with promoters and bookers. I don't think any band should have to pay ridiculous amounts of cash to go on tour though.

you really need label backing, 10k might get you half a tour as a buy on. better off building friendships.
