itsmyparty seen that before - isn't it because the Download Chart isn't officially released until later in the week despite them clearly having the data on Sunday? Just a strange anachronism.
Snowman Sums up how pointless the chart now is apart from the sales figure aspect of it for the execs.

The public left following the chart when Top of the Pops ceased to exist.

I cant believe how few music programmes there are on BBC1 and ITV1 . Almost none.

I believe there is a fantastic market for a Professional Chart Show at Prime Time.

It would be a good thing for reality shows to provide the co-presenter as well to link in to other output at peak times and to keep it current for the kids.

Only the Top 20 would need to be covered and bubblers under because of the speed downloads would change the chart.
MC MC I never bother looking the charts up on the BBC website - they're always late and unreliable. Maybe the people responsible for updating them were too busy complaining about Carol Thatcher to do the job they were paid for.

For a much better service I always go here:

JK2006 Can anyone explain why the BBC Radio One page has this week's singles chart but click the downloads chart link and you get - last week's chart.

It's Wednesday morning for chrissakes.

Why? The snow? Laziness?

No - nobody fucking cares, that's why.
