andrew We will win UEFA... that would be sweet. I'm fed up with seeing the four top British teams always quailfy for it; Arsenal, Man UTD, Liverpool and Chelsea.

By then we should have some good forwards that Pardew has got his eye open for.

I would love it if we won it; love it love it !!!

sing along to this; 'My old man said follow west ham don't dilly dally on the way.'
Martin K I think I am what can only be described as a fair weather football fan Ivor, I only really watch the big games and the big clubs. Cricket is my thing, I have tickets for one of the forthcoming tests, which means it`s bound to rain again!
Ivor Sounds fabulous - invite us all round next time - if only all football fans were this cultured
Steve R Fantastic final and as a scouser I have to admit that West Ham played the better football and we got lucky.

That said Andrew's anti-Liverpool posts make me feel like taking the michael somewhat. However, I'll resist and say that Pardew is a great manager and a dignified man.

Great game
Al That's how a cup final should be played. Lots of effort on both sides. End to end action. West Ham took the lead by an own goal, and they missed out on the winner because of a one legged player. The pitch, on occasions, looked more like a battlefield with bodies littered here and there - mostly due to cramp.

Star of the match - Liverpool's keeper. Well read penalties.

I was rooting for West Ham. It's about time they won something, plus I could then have said that my team (Boro) were beaten by the eventual cup winners.

Oh well ... here comes the World Cup - then there's the hopes of next season.
