Metal Mickey I bow to no-one in my admiration for Love's music, but think it's shameful that Bryan Maclean never gets any credit for writing the awesome "Alone Again Or" (Bryan's home demos are available on a couple of CDs and worth checking out BTW.) He sadly died a few years before Arthur Lee did his final few years of Love comeback tours, and I was very disappointed that Arthur never so much as mentioned Bryan's name at the "Forever Changes Live" concerts...
zooloo I'd like to go further still and recommend the album Forever Changes.

...then ditto what you said about the track
JK2006 Steve Wright played this, doubtless inspired by a clip on a trailer for Stuart Maconie's show on singles...

My God what a track. It could only have been made in the 60s; truly a time for musical creativity and originality.

Love - with Arthur Lee. Highly unusual structure, title, ideas.... remarkable - this is a live clip but I urge you to track down the original and bathe in it at maximum volume...
