giles2008 Surfin Bird has been doing the rounds as a ringtone for a while. Someone sent it to me back in Febuary. Originally released in 1964 it was featured on Family Guy and charted for the first time in April 2009 peaking at 50.The Ramones did a version on their "Rocket to Russia" album way back in 1978.It was also covererd by The Deviants,The Queers and The Cramps amongst others.
The Cat I was convinced Susan Boyle would be at the top, but wotally surprised by the new Number One. Family Guy featured this song and it's now, apparently, taken off among the kids. Surfin Bird by The Trashmen. It doesn't seem to have made the UK top 40 originally. I wonder if, due to Family Guy, it'll get a second chance. It's annoying but kinda likeable.

Bat For Lashes come in at 16 with "Sleep Alone". This is a bit New Age, All About Eve-ish. Cool and relaxing.

Justin Bieber at 18 is ok but not really my kind of music, but I can appreciate it for what it is. Might even catch on if well promoted.

A good climb for Mozzak. Susan Boyle at 2.
A chart of variety and fun. Great stuff.
