dixie Actually, I’m surprised. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it - after all he’s championed music as much as previous-winner Michael Parkinson did - but this isn’t perhaps the ideal time to honour him.

On saying that, having been lucky enough to have attended nearly every MITS Award Dinner, (including JK’s), last year’s Lucian Grainge award show, with Take That, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Mika, Jamie Cullum/Sugababes performing, will be a hard act to follow - so why not give the award to somebody who has no chance of following such a night?
bunk moreland Am I the only person surprised and rather annoyed by the decision to award the Man of The Year to the dreadful J Ross whose chief claim to fame in music circles appears to be the cause of Lesley Douglas leaving Radio 2. An overpaid preening poltroon who has no business being given such an accolade.
