JK2006 It was Michael who had seen an amateur dance group at Monkberrys (?) club in Jermyn Street and when I asked him to suggest some dancers to put in a video of me singing It Only Takes A Minute (one of the very first videos, directed by Mike Mansfield in ITN studios) he suggested them and started managing them and their founder, Arlene.

Watch it here.

DR2 I am very sorry to read about this, JK. Although I never knew the man, may I be the first to offer my sincere condolencies regarding the sudden passing of your friend. In fact, I went through something very similar myself seven years ago regarding a very dear friend whom I'd known for thirty years. He seemed to be getting much better following a severe illness and really seemed to be on the mend when he suddenly took a turn for the worse and, within two days, he was gone at the age of 62.
JK2006 One of my oldest and dearest friends - for 45 years - and the man behind Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli amongst many others.
From cancer. We had dinner three weeks ago and he seemed on the road to recovery.
A lovely, funny, witty, sparkling man.
