morten lange Bringing Marsh into a basically General manager role at WB records with some other areas of responsibility is a shrewd move and lays out clearly CT's and one can assume Edgar's intent. Build up the A&R because the buy out of EMI will be catalogue based rather than breaking new acts. The two synergies will work so much better that way once all the non-music executives from EMI have been dispensed with.A powerhouse catalogue company will be created once Warners and EMI merge.

Check out the Wall Street Journal for the latest on EMI being unable to cover the next round of debt.

Marsh will interact well with new and existing acts;he is well liked and will take care of the day to day stuff, much as Paul Curran is successfully doing for Ged Doherty at Sony.

Reid will soldier on until he decides to exit and find a new challenge although word on the street is that JF Cecillon has been "in talks".
JK2006 A Lyor or Edgar decision?
And where does this leave Reid?
And aren't we simply seeing deck chairs moving on the Titanic?
