JC Only last week I was wondering what became of Carly Simon.
DJones „In spring 2007 Starbucks approached her [Carly Simon] about releasing an album on the Hear Music label. Ms. Simon said that the company discussed an advance of $750,000 to $1 million and wooed her with a marketing plan, promising to stack her album by the cash register and play it frequently (…)“

But then Starbucks run away from the record business. And now Carly has sued Starbucks „alleging “concealment of material facts,” “tortious interference” with Ms. Simon’s contract, and “unlawful, unfair and fraudulent business practices.”
