People "cower" their heads over ridiculous and non-sensical claims like "We will remember them" (for 2 minutes each year) !

I've written some lyrics to go with The Last Post -

You're Dead !
You're Dead !
You're Dead and you've had your bits blown off !
Bet you wish you hadn't joined up, now !
You're Dead
Very Dead
You're Dead !

I beg to differ. The last post has been sounded almost every night since World War One in Ypres. It's a pretty moving experience, believe me, as is the visit to the various graveyards. Of course, this is us re-arranging the past and our emotions. Given the choice, I think it's safe to say that most of the dead would have preferred not to be chewed up by the war machine. And that's another reason to remember them: a warning about embarking on military campaigns without thinking of all the consequences.

"We Will Remember Them" may just do quite well, it's climbing up the iTunes chart and has only just been released today.....
BR This would be an appropriate number one for Christmas. It means something.

Up against the might of the X Factor machine will make it near impossible. They get an advert every day of the week for their single on ITV and the press. How can any song compete with that ?
giles2008 And here it is!! Ive never seen Her Maj clapping so vigourously.
