I thought it was a very strange choice of program for Advent Sunday. Nothing wrong with it except that it's the kind of show we get all year round. If they want to acknowledge Advent Sunday as a warranting a special series of shows, then they should make something appropriate to the occasion. If the BBC is moving away from the Christian side of Christmas then why acknowledge Advent at all, yet these are clearly announced as specially for Advent Sunday.
Those to whom Advent means anything, and cannot get to a Church, would prefer an Advent Service. I'm sure the non-believers wouldn't begrudge them one hour on a Sunday morning - in keeping with the spirit of the season.

I like Fern - in fact I think I was one of her first interviews on Southern Television in 1965 - but her hour with the delightful Dolly was awful television; so badly put together, packed with cliches.
But how bright and funny and attractive Dolly is - always one of my great favourites.
