Love that Mia Rose song. I'd like to think it'll do well in the official chart too, but I think that's too dominated by the majors for any really good new indie songs to break through.

Some very good sounds in this chart. When I stop to think that most of these songs are on the current market but are overlooked by most mainstream media in favour of Major label offerings I'm not surprised that the official chart is so lifeless and repetitive. This chart is actually fun to follow.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. The highest new entry comes from Mia Rose with 'What Would Christmas Be Like?'. It's quite a cool acoustic song which could easily catch on.
George Michael comes in at15 with 'December Song'. I think I prefer the cartoon video to the actual song, although after a couple of listens the song is growing on me. I believe it was released last year, but somehow I missed hearing it until now.
The non Christmas new entry comes from Jackson Cook at 18 with 'If You Love Me.' It's mellow and well paced.
Square Bear comes in at 19 with 'Christmas in Tranceland' which is a Dance medley of traditional Christmas songs. This isn't my favourite genre but somehow it works for me. Maybe I'm just getting full of seasonal sentiment.
At 20 there is another acoustic number. This is Bitch Gibson with 'A Christmas Song'. It's written kinda like the old Irvin Berlin tracks but has a more rugged delivery.
Princesses take the top spot. I do like this even though most of the lyrics, apart from a spoken bit in the middle, are in Georgian. It has a certain sparkle and the Vivaldi-ish tones give it a unique edge in today's market.
