DJones Sadly, although Simon Cowell and Lucian remain the only people causing any sales these days, their dominance is affecting the ability of new talent to emerge - unless it belongs to one of them.

I see it the other way round: As long as the majors still have some sort of success the old way (via TV-shows and other mainstream media) and don't change the way they do business, there is a wide open empty space for new companies with new business models.
JK2006 Lucian was terrific in his early career but seems to have become very much the defender of the old model recently; probably because the majors will continue to dominate until his career finishes, so why rock the boat?
