Hare Georgeson	Seems the Vauxhall ad has got quite a few people talking! I have to admit that a year ago I wouldn't have had a clue what the song was, and who wrote and performed it (don't hit me!). Over the past year though, I've had chance to listen to more and more of Lonnie's material, and didn't quite realise the impact he'd had an popular music (you'll have to forgive me as I'm 23 and still learning about the influences on my music heroes, the Beatles). I was lucky enough earlier this year to get to see Paul Leegan and the Legends tribute band performing (in Newark, of all places), and it was an absolutely great performance and it had a real sense of fun and energy from start to finish. During the interval I was able to talk to Paul and some of the other guys, and discovered that he and Lonnie were also friends - a great night out. I'd definitely go and see them again, and am hoping they come back to the area soon. I know the Vauxhall ad has had people my age talking about Rock Island Line, and who is performing it and can they get it on iTunes. Well... I'm glad I can tell them all about it!
Manager Man	We had a couple of drinks in his dressing room when he was doing summer season at the ABC (with Englebert !)
JK2006	We get around 10,000 visits a day so sadly cannot say who posted the message above but hopefully it's accurate. It appears there are two slightly rival tribute outfits to your magnificent Dad (I met him only once at a photoshoot/reception). But I'm delighted that his timeless talent is getting recognised once more.

I will say that it came as a shock to me as i knew nothing about it. i am intregued however to know where you got the info from that i have been in the recording studio recently re-recording "rock island line." Dan Matthewman	just found the message board through google. i've been to see the paul leegan tribute band and the only word for them is 'brilliant'. An excellent set, well performed, a definate must see. Even if you've never listened to music of this genre before, give it a go, you won't be dissapointed.
