The production takes the song to a totally new dimension, thrilling the listener and treating them to sounds never heard before on the airwaves. The synth melody although mature and complex is feverishly catchy, we will be humming it for years to come.
Tinie’s rapping is eloquently delivered, the diction is clear and timing to perfection with some very cool language thrown in such as “I keeps em” instead of “I keep them”, Tinie is keeping it real.
The subject matter of the song brings a completely new concept to this style of music. Tinie is telling us how cool he and his friends are, he drives home how wild his life is by cleverly adding the word “very” not once, twice, but 3 times. Top that. There’s also an indication that he lives an extravagant life style when he tells us, “I got so many clothes I keep’s em in ma aunts house”, and he ensures you’re aware of his “necklace” and “crazy sun protectors“. He clearly knows how to spoil himself.
As if the song didn’t already have enough we are treated to some incredible vocals in what can only be described as a ‘chorus’, something completely unheard of in the world of rap and what makes this song stand out from the crowd.
In summary, this song comes totally from left-field and breathes fresh air to an otherwise stagnant chart. Come on A&R, we need more like this.
