giles2008 Camel? Saw them live once. Nearly sent me to sleep. Id recommend them as a cure for insomnia. Brilliant saxophone player though.(Mel Collins)which would have made it 1978ish. The band is still going though only Andy Latimer remains from the early days i believe.

dixie I first came across Max Hole when he worked at an agency called GEMINI AGENCY, where he handled bands such as Camel, Skin Alley, Heaven and others. I booked a band with the agency whilst I was still at school in 1972.
JK2006 Some of us remember him as co manager of Camel when we were running Decca in the 70s. Is The Times still the "paper of record"? If so, it's the wrong record.
