Ok The way Hollywood sexualizes teens is so blatant its crazy. I just saw a photo of Dakota Fanning at some premier this week in a micro-mini dress and sky high heels one would see on a model ten years older than her.

She looked like a little kid that raided her mothers closet, in fact.

No doubt a stylist and publicist are behind insisting she is now presented in public like this as all the others working in Hollywood that just turned 16 are, in order to remain relevant in 2010.
JC I think all men, and maybe all women, are capable of liking 14 and 15 year olds. We are just not allowed to admit it. Liking isn't the same as having sex with, although it's treated as such in today's paranoid society. If someone does have sex with a 14 or 15 year old it's probably because they are attracted to them as an individual rather than because of their age, although there will always be exceptions.

A friend of mine lowered his voice when he told me he thought Emma Watson was hot, even though she'd turned 16 by then. That was his opinion to which he is entitled. Nothing wrong with that at all, but there is something wrong with a society that forbids such opinions.
Prunella Minge Is it because papers have such a turnover of young writers that the 'bleedin' obvious' from a few years ago keeps being re-reported as shock-horror news today? It's only a matter of time before one of them 'discovers' Pamela Des Barres, uncovers the dark past of Leapy Lee and finds out that Jerry Lee Lewis was a vile pervert.

P.S. The Pope - it doesn't help that, when he tries to speak in English, he sounds like Peter Lorre. He should end every line by saying 'Johnny,' like Peter did in 'Arsenic and Old Lace'.
JK2006 Major news story in the Sunday Times... the frightening revelation that 60s pop stars sometimes went with groupies! And that the celebrities of the era appeared less disturbed by age concerns. Whatever next? Is the Pope Catholic?
